The Mission of Dockside Kids is to bring JOY, INSPIRATION and AWARENESS into children’s lives, on and off the yoga mat. Dockside Kids yoga classes are inclusive, child-directed, developmentally appropriate, and most importantly, FUN!! In addition to yoga, Dockside Kids classes are filled with music and creative movement, educational fact, mindfulness and stillness, and lots of silly jokes and laughter.

We are committed to upholding the traditional aspects of a yoga practice while making it accessible, relatable, and enjoyable for all children.

Why Should Kids Practice Yoga?

The benefits of yoga for children are endless. Yoga increases children’s self-awareness, as well as their awareness of others and the world. It helps them begin to understand how the body feel and what is going on in the mind. It develops compassion, empathy, gives the poser of choice, and plants the seed for a lifetime of mindfulness and movement.
